What You'll Do - Supervise a team of 4 Dietitians and 5 Diet Clerks across inpatient and outpatient settings; - drive Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects; - oversee rollout of department programs and initiatives, as necessary; - facilitate local community and wellness initiatives; - provide training and education to the food service staff, as well as interdisciplinary healthcare professionals; - be the primary liaison with medical and nursing staff and represent the department on hospital wide committees; and - serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services team and assist in operational management as needed. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. The QMIP is also responsible for managing and/or monitoring the quality resource on the project. The QMiP is the subject matter expert and should assist in the planning of all key quality activity across the life cycle of the project.
