• Lead the end-to-end design and development of XPRIZE competitions —from framing the problem and defining success metrics to conducting research, engaging stakeholders, shaping the prize model, and producing final design documentation, working within a structured design process guided by the Prize Design Director and seeking Director input at key decision points to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and quality standards • Adapt quickly when the Prize Design Director reprioritizes projects or shifts design direction mid-cycle, maintaining momentum and timelines. • Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, coordinating with the Project Manager to ensure deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards. • Work closely with internal teams and collaborators, ensuring connectivity and alignment with Domain Leads, leadership, and Advancement on strategy, content, and positioning. • Identify & Engage external experts and stakeholders, including designing and facilitating workshops, interviews, and other participatory research to inform design choices. • Facilitate productive relationships with sponsors, providing clear communication, updates, and deliverables that align with sponsor goals and XPRIZE’s standards • Contribute to organization-wide ideation and concept development initiatives, such as Global Visioneering and prize idea workshops.

Role Description Our client is seeking a talented and driven Project Designer to join our Project Management & Design Department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of design plans for both new construction and renovation projects, specializing in Educational Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E). The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of spatial creativity, technical CAD/3D modeling skills, and the communication prowess needed to interface directly with clients and our sales team. Key Responsibilities - Space Planning & Design: Create comprehensive, functional, and aesthetically pleasing designs for multiple styles of educational facilities. - Presentation & Pitching: Develop and present engaging design concepts and service capabilities to potential clients. - Material Selection: Source and select fabrics, finishes, and color palettes that align with specific design concepts and overarching architectural plans. - Collaboration & Communication: Act as a key liaison, managing day-to-day correspondence and communication with clients, project stakeholders, and internal sales staff. - Technical Design: Utilize specialized industry software to produce high-quality CAD drawings and immersive 3D visuals. Qualifications - 2–4 years of industry experience specific to commercial project design, a big plus if you have experience working with Furniture. - Strong knowledge of interior design and custom furniture solutions is highly preferred. - Proficiency and hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Giza 2020 / CAP, and CET Designer (Configura). - Proven capability in generating precise CAD drawings and detailed 3D models/visuals. - Strong interpersonal skills for ongoing correspondence and collaboration with clients, project stakeholders, and internal sales staff. Requirements - Must be available and willing to travel within a designated regional territory as needed to support projects and client meetings.
