Azure Cloud Operations Engineer

• Deploy and manage Azure cloud infrastructure including compute resources, virtual networks, storage solutions, and application services. • Monitor and optimize cloud system performance by tracking availability and performance metrics, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations. • Implement and enforce security measures including security policies, best practices, and compliance requirements to safeguard cloud resources and protect sensitive data. • Automate cloud operations and processes by developing scripts and automation tools using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python to streamline repetitive tasks and reduce human error. • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues, managing incidents with a focus on service restoration and collaborating with development and IT teams to minimize downtime. • Manage rollout of patches and release management, including scheduling and implementing system updates following organizational guidelines. • Monitor and analyze resource usage to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cloud cost optimization strategies. • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data and application availability during unforeseen events. • Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment, evaluate new Azure services based on requirements, and recommend architectural improvements. • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for cloud infrastructure, configurations, processes, and operational procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have at least 8 years of experience in cloud engineering or cloud operations, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Must hold an active AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator certification.
  • Must have demonstrated experience deploying and managing Azure infrastructure including compute, virtual networking, storage, and application services.
  • Must have hands-on experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.
  • Must have experience implementing and enforcing cloud security policies and compliance frameworks within Azure environments.
  • Must have experience with incident management, troubleshooting, and service restoration in a cloud operations environment.
  • Must have experience developing and maintaining backup and disaster recovery plans within Azure.
  • Hold an AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions certification.
  • Hold an AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies certification.
  • Experience with Azure cost management tools and resource optimization strategies.
  • Experience with patch and release management processes in an enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps or related platforms.
  • Strong technical documentation skills with experience producing infrastructure and operational runbooks.

Role Description The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is the front-line field service representative and is responsible for fulfilling the customer's expectations during field service activities. The FSE is experienced in Marel equipment (or equivalent) and works independently, solving technical and/or technological issues for a standard product process. The FSE may mentor junior FSEs and provide basic training.
