Financial Planner

Empower

• Deliver certified, comprehensive financial plans as part of a dedicated team model for large and mega Empower customers • Engage participants in needs-based conversations to understand financial goals and recommend appropriate solutions, including Empower products and services • Provide education and guidance on all aspects of retirement readiness: managed accounts (My Total Retirement), rollovers, investment allocations, savings strategies, HSAs, distribution options, and broader financial wellness topics • Act as an Investment Adviser Representative for Advised Assets Group, reviewing client portfolios and recommending strategies using Empower’s managed account services • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with participants, leveraging the CONSULT model to personalize each client experience • Conduct proactive outreach to current and former providers on behalf of participants to implement financial decisions • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of interactions using Salesforce and other internal systems • Actively participate in training sessions and staff meetings, sharing knowledge and best practices across the team • Educate clients about and enroll them into Managed Account solutions when appropriate. Support long-term client relationships by delivering a high-touch, distinctive service experience both pre- and post-retirement

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional work experience (MBA preferred)
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification required
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations required
  • Life insurance license required (must be obtained within corporate-established timelines)
  • FINRA fingerprinting required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services or the 401(k) industry
  • At least 2 years of direct experience in financial planning
  • Demonstrated ability to assess a client’s complete financial picture across investments, insurance, tax planning, education savings, and estate considerations.
