Role Description iMPROve Health is seeking a Summer Intern to support research and analysis related to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Federal Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) program. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with healthcare data, conducting research, and presenting findings to support organizational decision-making. - Review CMS Federal Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) Public Use Files and supporting documentation. - Conduct analyses of publicly available Federal IDR data to identify trends, patterns, and key insights. - Summarize findings and develop reports for internal review and discussion. - Assist with data organization, validation, and interpretation. - Present findings and recommendations to project stakeholders as appropriate. - Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications - Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Healthcare Management, or a related field. - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data analysis tools is a plus. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. - Technical skills in C++, Python, SQL desired.
