Job Description
Marketing Operations Leader – Director
Wealthsimple
• Own intake and prioritization across the marketing and creative team, aligning work with campaign calendars and business goals, and help make the trade-off calls when capacity is tight. • Design and continuously improve how work moves from brief to delivery, own the workflow tooling and playbooks, and integrate AI into the team's workflows responsibly – accelerating production without eroding craft or brand consistency. • Maintain a real-time view of what's in flight, what's at risk, and what's coming, so leadership can make informed decisions; and step in to project-manage our biggest integrated campaigns as required. • Own and forecast the creative and production budgets, plus the team's resourcing and capacity, and manage freelance and creative vendor networks. • Own operational insight for the function – throughput, cycle time, capacity, on-time / on-budget delivery – and partner with growth/data to connect creative work to performance (they own the stack; you steer and interpret). • Mentor and support a team of producers and project managers, while fostering a collaborative, sustainable culture.
Job Requirements
- 12+ years in marketing operations, creative ops, or a similar orchestration role within a creative-heavy, high-growth organization.
- Proven success running prioritization, process, and end-to-end campaign operations for a high-volume team, with measurable improvements to how work gets done.
- Owning and optimizing budgets and resourcing across concurrent projects, plus sourcing and managing freelance and creative vendor networks.
- Deep fluency in PM/workflow tools (Asana / Monday / Jira, Airtable, Google Workspace) and creative tools (Figma), plus leadership-level judgment on where AI adds value vs. risk and how to govern it.
- Enough creative and production fluency to earn the trust of designers, producers, and creative leadership.
- A systems mindset with a bias toward simplification, a maker / owner attitude, strong judgment, clear communication, and comfort navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
