SCADA Supervisor

Aon

• Lead the SCADA team on a day to day basis and provide guidance and prioritization to team members. • Develop and maintain exhibits for standardizing SCADA and control requirements for PV and BESS projects. • Perform technical due diligence towards upcoming technologies in energy storage and plant control systems. • Coordinate with internal and external teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve SCADA issues. • Assist in management of requirements from energy regulatory organizations (CAISO, FERC, NERC etc.) • Assist in managing site acceptance testing for projects. • Assist in managing the deliverables related to SCADA and plant communications outlined within the project interconnection agreements, CAISO New Resource Implementation Process, etc. • Be able to demonstrate understanding of high voltage electrical system operations. • Communicate with the Operations team and third-party O&M providers to evaluate real-time plant telemetry and control issues. • Collaborate with SCADA vendors and associated parties for projects towards SCADA design, implementation, and testing. • Assist in the development of turn-key EPC technical documents and support enforcement of the contract for the project duration.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university or a similar level of technical training and education.
  • At least 5 years of renewable energy SCADA experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of medium and high voltage electrical systems as they relate to utility scale solar plants and battery energy storage systems.
  • Experience in dealing with control systems and communication infrastructures related to automation.
  • Prior understanding of operation of hybrid generating assets (i.e., PV + BESS).
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical explanations.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with others under all situations.
  • Work within a project team, as well as analyzing, troubleshooting and prioritizing problems independently.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Understand safety principles, to safely work on equipment.
  • Strong leadership skills.

Role Description The Wildlife Resources Commission (WRC) is charged by General Statute 113-132 with the management, regulation, protection, and conservation of wildlife resources and inland fisheries in North Carolina.
