At GDIT, people are our differentiator. GDIT Technology Shared Services (TSS) is seeking a Data Engineer / Cloud ETL Developer to transform how government agencies use data. Our work depends on a Data Engineer / Cloud ETL Developer joining our team to deliver cloud-based data engineering and ETL solutions for a Federal agency. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: - Design, develop and implement complex ETL processes of healthcare data to meet a wide range of business and system requirements. - Support the ETL operational processes including but not limited to: automation, job scheduling, dependencies, monitoring, maintenance, patches, upgrades, security, and administration. - Identify process improvements and innovative ways to solve existing or new problems. Qualifications - BA/BS in a Computer Science or related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. - 5+ years of IT experience. - Strong experience working with Python programming required. - Strong SQL experience required. - At least 2+ years of Cloud ETL development experience using AWS Services/tools. - Experience with Snowflake, and/or similar cloud relational database/data warehouse technologies. - Experience in Github, or similar version control tools. - Prior experience using the Agile development framework, and CI/CD DevOps. Requirements - Requires ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years. Salary Information The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
