GLOBAL LANGUAGE STRATEGIES
Role Description This is a remote position for a Thai to and from English Translator and/or Editor on an ongoing basis as a Freelance Independent Contractor. - Must be a U.S. citizen willing to undergo a Tier 1 background investigation to include fingerprint completion. - The role involves the translation or editing of vital records, legal documents, and academic transcripts. - We seek experienced Thai-to-English and/or English-to-Thai translators and/or editors to join our team. - The work is for our U.S. government client and requires full U.S. citizenship. - The role will consist of translating and editing various types of documentation. Qualifications - A native speaker of Thai and near-native English. - Bachelor’s degree in translation or an equivalent qualification. - A minimum of three to five years of proven experience as a translator and/or editor. - Reliable, able to meet deadlines, and highly productive. - A team player with excellent communication skills. - Must be equipped with up-to-date Windows software. - Excellent formatting skills. - Comfortable with one-to-two-day deadlines. - Able to provide per-word rates for either translations or editing or both. - Willing to accept assignments as needed.
