Role Description We're looking for a HSD Systems Engineer for a leading broadband communications provider focused on delivering high-speed internet and connectivity services across the U.S. If you are detail-oriented and analytical, with strong Linux administration and Python/Ansible scripting skills, keep reading! - Deploy, upgrade, and maintain the High-Speed Data (HSD) infrastructure supporting critical internet services, including DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and DOCSIS provisioning platforms - Manage vendor solutions such as Infoblox, Incognito, Calix, SolarWinds, and NetBrain, ensuring compliance with security policies and high system availability - Use Python, Ansible, Bash, and other scripting tools to automate tasks, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance - Assist with the creation of Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation, configuration templates, and knowledge base articles - Conduct training for new technology integrations and upgrades for relevant internal team members - Work as part of a project team to assess requirements, risks, and limitations for each project scope Qualifications - 6+ years of hands-on Linux administration experience in CentOS/RHEL environments - Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Ansible, Shell, Perl, and/or Docker - 2+ years of experience designing, deploying, and operating high-availability networks - Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DOCSIS, IPv4/IPv6, LDAP, and network security best practices - Experience with vendor platforms such as Infoblox, Incognito, or Calix - Associate-level networking certification (CCNA or equivalent) - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, MIS, or a related field Requirements - Previous experience in an MSO (Multiple System Operator) or cable industry environment - Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification - Professional-level networking certification - Familiarity with tools such as Kentik, ServiceNow, Cisco ISE, or NetBrain - Experience with AI/LLM tools applied to network engineering workflows Benefits - Salary in USD - Flexible working hours - Great opportunities for career growth - Opportunity to work in an amazing environment
