Senior AIX Systems Administrator

• Administer, maintain, and support IBM AIX, UNIX, and Linux server environments • Perform system installations, configurations, patching, and upgrades across AIX and Linux platforms • Manage and support application servers in a secure, high-availability environment • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions • Ensure systems are properly secured, including patch management and system hardening • Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations • Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to support system integration and performance optimization • Maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration baselines • Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for incident response as needed
Job Requirements
- Hands-on experience with IBM AIX administration and UNIX server environments
- Strong experience supporting Linux environments (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, or similar)
- Experience with system administration in enterprise environments
- Familiarity with application server administration (e.g., WebSphere, WebLogic, or similar)
- Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Experience in highly regulated or enterprise environments
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., shell scripting, Ansible)
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies and storage systems
- BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
