Yardi Systems Administrator – Commercial Retail CRE

• System Administration & Optimization • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for all things related to Yardi Voyager (Commercial/Retail module) and integrated applications (e.g., CommercialCafe, Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting). • Manage user provisioning, custom security roles, workflow approvals, and system menus to ensure data security and compliance. • Lead the technical onboarding, data migration, and setup of newly acquired commercial retail assets into the Yardi database. • Monitor, test, and implement Yardi system updates, plug-ins, and new module rollouts, ensuring zero disruption to daily business operations. • Retail Operations & Financial Support • Support the property management and accounting teams with complex, retail-specific configurations, including Common Area Maintenance (CAM) setups, tax/insurance reconciliations, and recovery configurations. • Oversee the technical setup and execution of Percentage Rent parameters, gross sales tracking, and variable retail leasing structures. • Troubleshoot system errors related to retail lease administration, tenant billings, and recurring charge schedules. • Reporting & Business Intelligence • Design, develop, and maintain custom reports and dashboards using Yardi Spreadsheet Reporting (YSR), Yardi Correspondence, or SQL/SSRS to support executive decision-making. • Collaborate with asset management and finance teams to optimize data flow, automate manual workarounds, and ensure data integrity across all portfolios.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Yardi Expertise: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on administration experience specifically within Yardi Voyager Commercial/Retail. *(Applications with purely residential or multifamily experience will not be considered).*
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of commercial real estate accounting principles, commercial lease logic, and retail recovery mechanics (CAM, recurring charges, overage rent).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Yardi database structures, database mapping, and writing custom reports (YSR, Yardi Script, or basic SQL query writing).
- Preferred/Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting (ABF).
- Experience implementing or managing CommercialCafe or tenant portals.
- Prior experience working at a commercial real estate investment, asset management, or development firm.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical troubleshooting skills—someone who loves solving complex data puzzles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical jargon into clear business insights for non-technical team members.
- Self-motivated and comfortable acting as the sole, go-to Yardi expert in the organization.
