• Assist the Chief Privacy Officer in interpreting privacy-related legislation • Draft internal policies and procedures • Manage the internal privacy impact assessment (PIA) program • Provide legal advice to the Privacy Team and Business • Conduct privacy, security, and AI-related legal research • Prepare and provide legal opinions regarding internal processes and procedures • Assess the impact of proposed laws and regulations • Maintain the list of laws and regulations impacting the business • Participate in internal and external committees • Lead strategic committees to ensure compliance with privacy legislation • Provide legal oversight and approval for the Data Source Credentialing program • Assist in standard consumer opt-out request escalations
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- License from a state bar
- Minimum of 2 years as an attorney
- Ability to identify issues of concern and mitigate risks
- Negotiate contracts with opposing counsel
- Perform legal research and draft memorandums advising the business
