Field Sales Representative
Farmer Focus
• Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with assigned retail, food service, distributor, broker, and customer accounts within the territory • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities by prospecting potential customers, conducting market visits, and building a strong pipeline of business within Tennessee or Georgia • Present Farmer Focus products, programs, brand story, and value proposition to customers in a clear, compelling, and professional manner • Support sales growth by executing territory plans, meeting assigned sales goals, monitoring account performance, and providing regular updates to the Sales Director • Conduct store, customer, and distributor visits to evaluate product placement, inventory, merchandising, pricing, competitive activity, and customer satisfaction • Coordinate with internal Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations partners to support customer needs, order accuracy, product availability, promotional activity, and issue resolution • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, opportunities, follow-ups, and territory insights using company-designated systems and reporting tools • Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor activity, and category performance and share insights that support sales strategy and business planning • Represent Farmer Focus at customer meetings, distributor events, trainings, trade shows, and other industry or community events as needed
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Sales, Agriculture, Food Science, or a related field preferred
- Two or more years of outside sales, field sales, account management, distributor management, retail, food service, grocery, CPG, poultry, meat, or food industry experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to meet company driving standards required
- Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships, prospect new business, manage a territory, and follow through on commitments
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, email, mobile technology, and customer relationship management or sales reporting tools
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation
