• Drive the analytics function for the GCOE team, acting as a liaison with business users and technical resources for complex data projects • Design data modeling processes to create algorithms and predictive models, perform custom analysis on SCIEX data, and present insights using data visualization techniques • Lead data initiatives end-to-end, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, implementation, validation, and stakeholder enablement (training and documentation) • Coach and mentor analysts and developers in building advanced data models, reports, and analytical solutions, while promoting strong development standards, critical thinking, and continuous improvement • Evaluate, recommend, and help implement modern technologies and methods for data integration, modeling, analytics, and performance optimization

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Technology, Business, or similar discipline
  • 7+ years of experience developing enterprise business intelligence and analytics solutions using Power BI, including complex data models and advanced DAX measures
  • Advanced proficiency in Python (Pandas) for large-scale data manipulation, transformation, and optimization, with experience using GitHub for version control
  • Proficiency in SQL and Azure Data Studio for data extraction, validation, and analytical problem-solving

Key Responsibilities BI Platform Modernization & Roadmap Management - Lead the rationalization and replatforming of existing Business Intelligence reports from SAP Business Objects to SAP BI 2027 and/or ThoughtSpot (for Actuarial-specific reporting). - Establish and manage a comprehensive migration roadmap inclusive of leadership checkpoints, stakeholder readouts, and progress reporting to senior management. - Evaluate and recommend future BI delivery capabilities including Generative AI, Agentic AI solutions, self-service analytics, and delivery efficiencies that minimize rework and exceed customer expectations. Team Leadership & People Management - Directly manage a blended team of Hartford employees and Cognizant contractors, including 1 Hartford onshore employee, 1 Cognizant onshore resource, and 8 Cognizant offshore contractors. - Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management across the team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Model The Hartford's expected behaviors and leadership competencies; provide leadership perspective and strategic counsel to peers across the organization.
