Role Description Tutor Me Education is reshaping how students learn, and we're looking for experienced academic tutors to provide 1:1 and small group virtual instruction to students across the country. If you're passionate about supporting students with IEPs, 504 plans, and diverse learning needs — and you want the flexibility to build a schedule around your life — we'd love to hear from you. - Deliver engaging, individualized virtual instruction tailored to each student's goals, accommodations, and learning profile. - Create structured lesson plans that align with student goals, grade-level standards, and the specific accommodations or modifications each student requires. - Adapt instruction in real time based on student questions, progress, and engagement. - Track student progress and communicate effectively with families and, where applicable, school district partners. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree required (degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred). - Experience working with students who have learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or other special education needs — whether as a credentialed SPED teacher, paraprofessional, interventionist, or tutor. - Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and common accommodations (extended time, chunked instruction, multi-sensory approaches, etc.). - Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations. - Strong virtual instruction skills — comfort with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and keeping students engaged online. - Ability to pass a background check. - Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace. Requirements - Active or previous teaching credential, especially in Special Education (preferred but not required). - Experience with specific methodologies such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading, or structured literacy (preferred but not required). - Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus (preferred but not required). - Flexible schedule — work when you want. - 100% remote. - Set your own hourly rate. - Consistent flow of students matched to your expertise. - Opportunity to make a real difference for students who need it most. Benefits - Fully remote — tutor from home on your own computer. - You set your schedule — choose your availability and update it anytime. - You set your hourly rate — and negotiate per job based on the scope of work. - Steady opportunities — with hundreds of new students signing up daily, we match jobs to your email based on the subjects and student populations you're best suited for. - Note: Many of our assignments operate in Pacific Time, so availability during PT hours is a plus.
