Role Description The Senior BI Analyst plays a critical role in translating business data into trusted actionable insights that improve visibility, support decision-making, and business outcomes. This role partners with business and IT stakeholders to define reporting needs, standardize metrics, and deliver secure, scalable analytics solutions. This position combines business intelligence, data modeling, and analytics expertise with modern data platform capabilities, leveraging Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure analytics services, and related tools. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable BI solutions including dashboards, reports, scorecards, and semantic models using Power BI and Microsoft analytics tools. - Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, define metrics, and translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions. - Analyze, model, transform, and visualize data from multiple business systems to present clear, consistent insights that support decision making. - Build and maintain data pipelines and transformations within Microsoft Fabric using SQL, Python, PySpark, notebooks, and pipelines. - Contribute to the design and optimization of lakehouse architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers) to support scalable analytics and reporting. - Support Microsoft Fabric capabilities, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, notebooks, semantic models, and Power BI integration. - Contribute to lakehouse design, including Bronze/Silver/Gold layers and scalable data structures. - Apply reporting governance, data quality, access control, documentation, and lifecycle practices to support accurate, secure analytics delivery. - Develop business requirements documentation (BRD) in partnership with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Support deployment practices, including version control and CI/CD pipelines where applicable. - Drive automation and standardization efforts to reduce manual reporting and improve efficiency. - Provide user support, training, troubleshooting, and adoption assistance for BI tools, reports, dashboards, and analytics processes. - Collaborate across IT and business teams to continuously improve reporting processes and data solutions. - Perform other duties assigned that support the overall success of the team, department, or organization. Qualifications - Strong expertise in data engineering, business intelligence, reporting, dashboard development, and data visualization. - Advanced proficiency with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure analytics services. - Experience with data modeling, semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query, SQL, and data transformation. - Knowledge of modern data architecture concepts including lakehouse, pipelines, and data integration. - Understanding of data governance, data quality, and reporting best practices. - Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and business recommendations. - Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, requirements gathering, and cross-functional collaboration skills. - Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Continuous improvement mindset with focus on automation and scalability. - Microsoft Fabric architecture, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, pipelines, capacity management, error handling, and integration concepts. - Experience with ERP systems (preferably Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations), finance, or supply chain data environments preferred. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered). - 3+ years of experience working in CPG or food manufacturing. - 3 - 5 years of experience in Microsoft Fabric, business intelligence (BI), analytics, reporting, or related discipline. - Strong experience with ERP, specifically Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. - Experience supporting business reporting, analytics, or data solutions in a corporate environment. - Experience building reports, dashboards, semantic models, or data solutions using Power BI. - Preferred: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure analytics services, SQL, DAX, Power Query, or lakehouse/warehouse concepts. - Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, CPG, food manufacturing, finance, supply chain, or cross-functional enterprise data. - Experience with Python and PySpark for data engineering or analytics workflows. - Experience with Fabric capacity management, Azure data services, DevOps, Synapse Analytics, Synapse Link, or Power Platform. - Experience with VS Code, GitHub Copilot, agents, or MCPs. - Relevant Microsoft certification, such as Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, DP-600, or DP-700.
