• Partner closely with the Global Lead (based in Washington D.C.) to drive operational excellence across our legal entity governance program • Support onboarding of a new legal-entity governance system • Serve as internal administrator of the governance tool: user access, permissions, training materials, user support • Ensure a “single source of truth” - data integrity, validation and reconciliation of entity data (structures, board/officer data, filings) • Generate and distribute periodic reports to governance, legal and business stakeholders • Embed Lean principles into the governance team’s processes and implement process standardization, digitalization, and automation • Own strategic projects to improve operational metrics (cycle times, error rates, user adoption, cost avoidance) • Design and maintain governance dashboards, KPIs and management reporting to senior leadership • Support annual budgeting process for the legal entity governance function: forecast, create budget requests, partner with finance for approvals and tracking • Monitor ongoing expenditures and budget performance; report variances and propose corrective actions • Maintain and manage vendor relations, tool licenses and cost allocations related to governance operations • Act as operational liaison to global teams (legal, tax, treasury, controllership, technology) to execute governance tasks, escalate issues and drive timely resolution • Provide training, communications and tool-user onboarding for internal customers and business-users globally • Support governance lead in preparing senior-executive level materials, status updates, and change-management communications
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, law, finance, information systems, or a related field (J.D. or legal background is a plus but not required)
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in legal operations, entity governance, program / project management, or process improvement
- Strong experience with tool implementation/data migration (system onboarding, administration)
- Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement and process optimization (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
