Role Description Kentro is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support our government client and help shape the future of enterprise mobility within a rapidly evolving endpoint landscape. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize Intune and mobile device management capabilities that ensure devices across the agency remain secure, compliant, and consistently configured. You will play a key role in advancing automation, establishing scalable mobile baselines, and strengthening the agency’s ability to manage a diverse, growing endpoint ecosystem. As a Systems Engineer focused on Intune and mobile device management, you will help deliver secure, scalable, and consistent device management across the agency’s enterprise. You will establish and maintain mobile device baselines, ensure compliance with agency standards, and support a diverse endpoint environment as part of the broader Endpoint Engineering team. This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours. Responsibilities - Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of mobile device baselines across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms - Configure and manage devices using Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager to ensure consistency and compliance across the enterprise - Ensure compliance and user consistency across BYOD workflows - Implement and maintain device compliance policies, configuration profiles, and security baseline - Partner with security and identity teams to align device configurations with enterprise security requirements and OS hardening standards - Monitor device compliance and health, leveraging reporting tools to identify and address gaps or risks - Troubleshoot complex issues across device configuration, identity (Azure AD), networking, and policy enforcement - Support lifecycle activities including device enrollment, configuration updates, patching, and decommissioning - Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), configuration standards, and knowledge articles - Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance device management processes, automation, and reporting - Provide hands-on tier 2/3 support to the macOS team, including troubleshooting, provisioning and decommissioning, testing and validation, and support for the transition to Microsoft Intune Reporting - Provide regular updates on device compliance posture, baseline adherence, and configuration status across the environment - Deliver reporting on key metrics, including compliance trends, policy effectiveness, and remediation efforts - Support leadership with clear, actionable insights into risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in the mobile device ecosystem - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation to support transparency, audit readiness, and operational consistency Supervisory Duties - Provide day-to-day technical leadership for supporting resources - Delegate tasks effectively and ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables - Mentor and support skill development for assigned team members - Review work outputs to ensure alignment with engineering standards and client expectations Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a related technical or business field - 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, and enterprise mobile device management - Strong understanding of device compliance frameworks, configuration baselines, security policies, and OS hardening practices - Experience managing secure configurations across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms - Proficiency in hybrid identity, Azure AD, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and mobile security controls - Experience with device compliance reporting and monitoring within Azure AD and related tools - Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across configuration, identity, networking, and policy interactions - Experience developing documentation, standards, and operational procedures Requirements - US Citizen or Green card holder - Willing and able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance - Must meet updated ID requirements: ID requirements - If you do not currently meet the ID requirements outlined, you must be willing and able to update your current forms of ID in a timely manner to complete the suitability process successfully.
