Role Description For a global payroll transformation programme, we are looking for an experienced Country Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a local payroll implementation. In this role, you will be responsible for driving all in-country project activities, ensuring alignment with the wider global programme, managing local stakeholders, and coordinating the implementation with external vendors and cross-functional teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Project Manager with payroll, HR transformation, ERP, or business transformation experience to lead a high-profile implementation in a fast-paced, international environment. - Lead local project planning, scheduling, execution, and progress tracking for the country payroll rollout. - Coordinate local implementation activities and ensure alignment with the global programme timeline, milestones, and objectives. - Align local vendor plans with the overall programme plan and actively manage dependencies. - Establish and maintain local project governance in line with the global programme governance framework. - Act as the primary programme representative within the country and coordinate all in-country project activities. - Manage the country’s Change Request process, ensuring requests are documented, assessed, prioritised, and progressed appropriately. - Apply recognised project management methodologies to ensure structured and controlled delivery. - Identify, manage, and escalate project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies. - Maintain the RAID log throughout the project lifecycle and ensure transparent reporting to programme stakeholders. - Coordinate resource planning across global and local workstreams. - Proactively manage resource conflicts, delivery risks, and cross-workstream dependencies. - Own and manage the local cutover plan, ensuring alignment with programme templates, principles, and overall cutover approach. - Support readiness activities, stakeholder alignment, and transition into hypercare or business-as-usual operations. - Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards. Qualifications - Proven experience managing large-scale payroll, HR, ERP, or business transformation projects. - Strong project management background with experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder implementations. - Experience working within global transformation programmes and coordinating local country deployments. - Strong understanding of project governance, RAID management, change control, planning, and resource management. - Experience working with third-party vendors, implementation partners, and cross-functional teams. - Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills. - Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on delivery, quality, and governance. - Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills. - Structured, proactive, and delivery-oriented working style. - Ability to work effectively in an international, remote, and matrixed project environment.
