Join us to build scalable, human-centered technology that empowers frontline workers and improves lives across the U.S. About the role As part of our mission, we partner with community-based organizations and payors to build sustainable funding pathways and infrastructure for frontline workers. This practicum will give students the opportunity to work on strategic projects, program evaluation, partnerships, and growth initiatives in a dynamic startup environment. What you'll do As a practicum student, you will: Support strategic projects related to CHW and doula workforce expansion, SDoH innovation, and healthcare partnerships. Conduct program evaluations, including data collection, analysis, and reporting on impact metrics. Assist in identifying and engaging community-based organizations, maternal health groups, and public health associations. Contribute to business development and growth initiatives, including landscape scans, partner research, and proposal support. Collaborate cross-functionally with the Pear Suite team (product, growth, and community engagement) on pilot projects and thought-leadership deliverables. Develop practical recommendations for improving SDoH integration into healthcare systems. Describe the specific responsibilities and job functions of the role Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • MPH student in public health, health policy, or related field.
  • Passion for advancing health equity and addressing social determinants of health.
  • Experience working with or alongside community-based organizations.
  • Strong skills in research, evaluation, and written communication.
  • Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite; experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Stata, R, or similar) is a plus.
  • Timing/Hours/Pay:
  • 8-10 hours/week over 2 semesters (30 weeks) during working business hours
  • Hours scheduled during business hours; flexible schedule possible
  • $18-$22/hour
