Senior ServiceNow Developer

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and customizations within ServiceNow, following scope standards, naming conventions, and platform best practices • Implement Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Scheduled Jobs, and other artifacts with clean, documented code • Create and publish Scripted REST APIs to expose ServiceNow data and functionality to external consumer systems • Document API contracts, ensuring clarity of endpoints, payloads, authentication, and versioning • Monitor integration health and availability, proposing performance and resiliency improvements • Design and implement bidirectional integrations between ServiceNow and corporate systems (ERP, ITSM, IAM, HR, etc.) • Configure and manage IntegrationHub spokes and custom connections • Support and troubleshoot integrations in production by analyzing logs and tracing failures • Model and implement workflows using Flow Designer, ensuring traceability, error handling, and operational efficiency • Create and evolve service catalogs, Record Producers, and service request forms • Mentor junior and mid-level developers on the platform, sharing best practices and conducting code reviews • Contribute to architectural decisions related to the ServiceNow environment in collaboration with architects and managers • Develop and maintain automated tests using ATF (Automated Test Framework) • Manage the Update Set promotion lifecycle, ensuring traceability and change control between instances • Ensure compliance with security policies, ACLs, and access controls • Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, flows, and architectural decisions • Produce integration guides for teams consuming ServiceNow APIs

Job Requirements

  • Development of custom applications within the ServiceNow platform (Scoped Applications)
  • Exposure and consumption of ServiceNow REST APIs (Table API, Scripted REST APIs, Import Set API)
  • Configuration of workflows with Flow Designer and Legacy Workflows
  • DevOps / CI/CD practices applied to the ServiceNow lifecycle (Update Sets, ATF, pipelines using Now Platform CLI or similar)
  • Certified System Administrator (CSA) — ServiceNow
  • Certified Application Developer (CAD) — ServiceNow
  • Scope-specific certifications (ITSM, HRSD, CSM, IntegrationHub, etc.) are strong advantages
  • Ability to independently solve complex platform and integration problems
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient ServiceNow solutions
  • Clear technical communication — able to explain APIs and integrations to non-technical teams and consuming teams
  • Attention to detail in API contracts, business logic, and security configurations
  • Logical and analytical reasoning for diagnosing failures in flows and integrations
  • Ability to negotiate deadlines and priorities with technical and business stakeholders
  • Object-oriented programming and design patterns applied to the platform's JavaScript
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and delivery ceremonies
