Role Description Everforth ECS is seeking a Naval Architect to work remotely. The primary focus of this position will be assisting program managers with day to day activities of ship acquisition. - Performing preliminary ship design studies - Performing engineering analyses on ship’s structure and foundations - Conducting trade-off studies - Contract validation - Ship checks - Specification development - Drawing review/modification - Technical writing - Performing cost estimates of design changes - Construction oversight - Other duties as assigned Some travel will be required, principally to shipyard locations. Overseas travel is a possibility. Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000 Qualifications - BS degree in Naval Architecture - 5 – 8 years of Naval Architectural design experience in early stage and functional stage design of ships - Ability to perform structural analyses and load calculations, to ensure sound design and compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements - Experience in performing stability analyses to support the development, maintenance and operational use of stability and loading instructions - Experience with AutoCAD, ShipConstructor, NSERC, GHS, and Rhino Benefits General Description of Benefits Company Description

• Define and own the enterprise-wide observability architecture, establishing technical standards, reference architectures, and multi-year roadmaps. • Evaluate, select, and standardize observability tooling (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Tempo, Loki, Elastic Stack, OpenTelemetry) to reduce tool sprawl and optimize total cost of ownership. • Design scalable data pipelines and storage strategies capable of ingesting and querying petabyte-scale telemetry data across metrics, traces, logs, and continuous profiling. • Design Terraform modules and Helm charts for declarative observability infrastructure provisioning across multi-cloud environments. • Establish and enforce instrumentation standards using the OpenTelemetry framework, including SDK guidelines, collector deployment patterns, and semantic conventions. • Define and champion SLO/SLI/error-budget frameworks across engineering teams, providing architectural guidance on service-level objective implementation. • Serve as a senior escalation point during critical incidents, leveraging deep observability expertise to accelerate diagnosis and resolution. • Provide architectural mentorship and technical guidance to Observability Engineers and SRE team members.

Financial Intelligence Architects lead client engagements end to end, from diagnosing where AI sits in a firm's investment process to designing the architecture and governance around it. Caldworth is a founding-stage firm, and this is a founding-team role. The salary below is the cash side. Founding members also help shape the firm and share in how it is built, including its ownership. You will work directly with CIOs, investment committees and risk functions at asset managers, hedge funds and wealth firms. You will run diagnostics, design the architecture and governance around their AI, and produce the board-ready reporting clients rely on when allocators and regulators ask hard questions. What you will do - Lead diagnostic engagements: map AI exposure across research, portfolio construction, risk and client reporting, then prioritise what to address. - Design the data, operating and governance architecture that turns AI into a capability the firm can use and answer for. - Advise senior investment professionals in their own language, on the desk and in the committee room. - Produce documentation and board-ready reporting that holds up to scrutiny. - Contribute to the firm's research and methodology. Qualifications - Around five years or more on the buy side, in risk, or in investment technology. - A working understanding of model risk, investment data, and the regulatory landscape across the EU AI Act, SEC and FCA. - Credibility with senior stakeholders and clear, precise written work. - Sound judgement and comfort working without perfect information. - CFIA charterholders are strongly preferred. - Candidates who do not hold the CFIA may be expected to obtain it within 12 months. Requirements - The Chartered Financial Intelligence Architect (CFIA), administered by the ICFDT, is the chartered designation for AI in investment management, spanning strategy, data and architecture, alpha and governance. - Caldworth uses the CFIA body of knowledge as a professional baseline for advisory work involving AI strategy, data architecture, alpha research, and governance in investment management.
