Technical Program Manager – Customer Success Enablement

• Support portfolio leads with day-to-day program execution and release operations activities. • Coordinate across business program managers, engineering teams, and operations stakeholders to ensure key deliverables remain on track. • Track active projects, dependencies, milestones, and timelines, proactively driving follow-up actions to completion. • Manage and support release management processes, including intake, validation, scheduling, and execution activities. • Assist with catalog maintenance, offering updates, asset management, and retirement tracking. • Maintain portfolio dashboards, reporting mechanisms, and status communications to provide accurate visibility into program health and progress. • Facilitate operational reviews and stakeholder meetings, capturing action items and ensuring timely follow-through. • Monitor program metrics and performance indicators to support decision-making and portfolio planning. • Drive task management and coordination across multiple teams and initiatives simultaneously. • Identify opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and operational efficiencies. • Support end-of-year planning activities, portfolio reviews, and ongoing operational initiatives. • Ensure documentation, reporting, and operational artifacts remain accurate and up to date.

Job Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in Program Coordination, Project Management, Release Operations, or a related operational support role.
  • 3–4 years of experience using technical and reporting tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms.
  • 3–4 years of experience creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, analytics, and performance tracking metrics.
  • 3–4 years of experience supporting program execution with a strong technical or analytical focus, including process tracking, workflow management, and data analysis.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and drive action items to completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.

Role Description RMI seeks passionate early-to-mid career professionals to participate in the RMI Transmission Fellowship Program’s second year. The Transmission Fellowship Program trains new experts in the complexities of the US transmission system to advance the grid build-out needed to support an affordable, reliable power sector. New fellows should bring a passion to get into the weeds about electricity transmission. Previous transmission experience is not required, but we expect fellows will bring diverse, existing skillsets to contribute to transmission work. We welcome candidates with a broad set of educational and work backgrounds. RMI is hiring 1-2 fellows to stay at RMI. The other fellows will participate in the cohort from external organizations and will be recruited via another process. Transmission fellows will learn basic-to-advanced power system fundamentals, regulation, policy, and economics through a combination of on-the-job learning and structured sessions. Fellows will spend ~90% of their time on project work and ~10% of their time participating in in-person trainings, e-learning using technical modules, facilitated discussions, peer-to-peer learning, self-study, and mentorship as part of a cohort-based training model.
