What you'll do: NinjaTrader is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering for our NT Connect Platform—our API-based brokerage integration layer that powers connections with introducing brokers, fintech partners, and third-party platforms. This leader will own the evolution of our brokerage APIs, partner onboarding, reliability, and the roadmap for new clearing, trading, and funding APIs. This role combines platform engineering, customer-facing partnership, and close collaboration across Trading, FCM Operations, Compliance, and Product. As a leader in our technology organization, your team’s work will shape the foundation of our NT Connect strategy and directly impact partner success, trader outcomes, and revenue growth. In this role you will: Lead the team responsible for enhancing our existing, high-quality API platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and low-latency performance Oversee multiple critical workstreams that support, grow, and provide impact to traders and B2B business partners alike Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Product, Account Managers, Compliance, QA, and Customer Success to deliver impactful solutions for our broker partners Drive engineering delivery, architecture, and operational readiness for the platform components under your domain, including the risk engine, trading permission systems, middleware dashboards, and admin consoles Partner with Product leadership on roadmap and prioritization aligned to business growth and partner needs Hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent to support the growth and evolution of the NT Connect team Uphold engineering quality and execution standards, including code reviews, test coverage, release pipelines, observability, and incident response What you'll need: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) Strong background in API platform development for external partners (REST, WebSockets or FIX familiarity is a plus) 8+ years of experience in modern software development, with 3+ years in engineering management roles leading 0 to 1 teams Demonstrated experience building and scaling B2B SaaS or platform products, ideally involving APIs and user-facing dashboards Deep understanding of security best practices for exposed APIs, backend services, and cloud infrastructure, including authentication, authorization, entitlements, data isolation, encryption, and auditability Proven track record leading cross-functional agile teams and delivering products from inception to production Familiarity with financial systems, trading concepts (orders, fills, margins), account lifecycle, and regulated workflows (KYC/AML, reporting), enabling compliant, enterprise-grade API design Experience managing teams across geographies and working with contractors or embedded function groups Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Comfortable presenting technical ideas to both engineers and clients Experience working in a regulated environment (fintech, trading, brokerage) is a plus Bonus points for: Experience in FCM, brokerage, clearing, or embedded finance platforms (Apex/DriveWealth-style B2B models) Background in GCP, Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, OpenTelemetry Experience with multi-tenant platform architectures and rate limiting strategies Compensation: The salary range for this role will be $160,000.00 - $210,000.00 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 15%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%). Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader offers a 401K plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 18 days per year (some positions may qualify for more) plus seven paid holidays.
