• Prospect and engage independent retailers to join the Instacart Marketplace. • Opportunity to manage the end-to-end sales cycle for small opportunities • Use cold calls and emails to identify new opportunities, drive value, and establish meaningful relationships with local retailers. • Strong problem-solving, solution mapping and negotiation skills • Time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a strong go to market strategy • Work independently while collaborating with the team to achieve individual and team objectives. • Flexibility and adaptability to change • A strong desire to learn and grow in the sales field • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage retailers and convey Instacart’s value proposition. • Developing sales collateral, case studies, and custom ‘stories’ to translate benefits of Instacart’s platform to independent retailers

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in a sales or business development role
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting relationships.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the grocery industry, including market trends and operational challenges (preferred)
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions to drive retailer success (preferred)
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools (preferred)
