Role Description Gastro Care Partners is seeking a Patient Financial Services Representative to join our team in a fully remote, full-time role. This position serves as a key point of contact for patients and insurance companies and is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a high-volume, phone-based environment, as the role involves being on the phone the majority of the day. The Patient Financial Services Representative is responsible for delivering excellent customer service by: - Answering patient and payer inquiries - Resolving billing and account-related issues - Processing payments - Supporting a positive financial experience for our patients This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate patient billing and insurance questions with professionalism and empathy. Qualifications - High school diploma or GED required - Prior experience in patient financial services, medical billing, revenue cycle, healthcare customer service, a medical office, call center, or a related healthcare setting preferred - Strong knowledge of insurance terminology, billing procedures, insurance verification, claims, patient balances, and payment collection processes preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations preferred - Comfortable working in a phone-intensive environment, with the majority of the workday spent assisting patients and insurance companies by phone - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain billing and payment information clearly and professionally - Strong customer service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills - Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment - Detail-oriented and dependable, with strong documentation and follow-up skills - Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and patient-centered service Requirements - Full-time - Monday through Friday - No nights or weekends - Paid holidays Benefits - Competitive market pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience - Health, dental, and vision insurance - Generous 401(k) match up to 5% - Paid time off and paid holidays - Retirement plan options - And more
