Job Description

Analyst, Data Centers

Orennia

Role Description As an Analyst on our Data Centers team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional advanced analytics to support our clients in capital allocation decision making in a massive growth area. You will lead the development of new analytics focused on compute demand and the influence on accelerator market dynamics, and support research on how it impacts data center development and power markets. This role will have the opportunity to influence product development and expand our client base. Our people are passionate and have a strong belief in our mission. Our efforts impact individuals and communities, all the while working toward a net-zero future. If you’re hungry for opportunity, growth, and something meaningful in a dynamic, fun and challenging environment, we’d love to hear from you. What You’ll Do - Lead the analysis of the emerging compute market, including topics like supply, demand, term lengths, utilization, and how developments of new GPUs or other accelerators (ex. TPUs) will influence the market. - Develop advanced analytical models focusing on compute economics ($/TFLOP, $/GPU-hr, etc.) and how capital and operating costs influence the model. - Contribute to the development of GPU price forecasts and forward curves, including developing a view on how shifting workloads (i.e. training vs inference) and changing markets impact those outlooks. - Write actionable reports summarizing the outputs of the analysis and forecasts, distilling the takeaways for Orennia’s clients. - Work closely with our clients to create customized solutions to their most pressing and complex problems. Qualifications - 5+ years of relevant work experience, ideally in infrastructure, energy or data center development. - Strong modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience modeling datacenter, colocation, cloud or GPU procurement economics. - Experience applying analytical models to real-world commercial or investment decisions. - Strong technical foundation, with familiarity in tools such as Python, SQL, and optimisation or production cost modelling frameworks. - Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and translate complex analysis into clear, decision-ready insights. - Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. - Comfort operating with ambiguity and speed; strong judgment on when analysis needs more rigor vs. when a directional answer is sufficient. - Bachelor’s degree in economics, computer science, engineering, or relevant field. - You are hungry to learn and contribute. Our organization is growing, and this role is an exceptional opportunity to grow with us. Benefits - Competitive total rewards package. - Comprehensive health, dental and vision benefits. - Savings program that includes company matching. - Learning and development budget to master your craft. - Generous time off with regular company holidays, paid vacation days and paid sick days.
