Senior Solution Architect and M&S Developer
Logistics Management Institute
Role Description The Senior Full Stack and M&S Developer will support the development of large-scale digital products used to support supply chain, logistics, and sustainment efforts for government clients. The successful applicant will be a senior member of the M&S development team that will lead and work with other developers to ensure development is on time, accurate, and meets mission requirements. This role requires strong software development experience, analytical reasoning and quantitative skills, the ability to work collaboratively with senior and mid-level developers and subject matter experts, and the capacity to present findings clearly to senior DoD leaders and stakeholders. Position is Remote with occasional travel to client site (~5%). Responsibilities - Serve as the primary integrator across platform engineering, data engineering, analytics, modeling and simulation, and supply chain subject matter expertise. - Translate mission, business, and user needs into product requirements, backlog priorities, and delivery plans. - Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of full‑stack web applications. - Architect, develop, test, and maintain new supply chain models related to inventory management, supplier risk, network optimization, and other logistics modeling. - Lead a team of mid-level and junior developers and subject matter experts to answer project requirements and needs. - Coordinate with government, industry, and internal stakeholders to gather information, validate findings, and support recommended courses of action. - Help to ensure the platform continues to mature across enterprise data integration, application development, user experience, modeling and simulation, and decision-support capabilities. Qualifications - Master's degree in a technical field such as math, physics, operations research, engineering, data analytics, or another relevant technical domain. - 7+ years of experience in supply chain, operations research, inventory management, industrial base analysis, technology assessments, logistics, acquisition support, intelligence analysis, or a related field. - 10+ years of experience using analytic tools such as Python, SQL, and Tableau to perform data exploration and analysis. - Experience with Cloud computing services such as AWS and Azure. - Experience leading small to medium size technical teams to deliver analytical products and analyses. - Strong quantitative, analytical, and research skills. - Ability to synthesize complex information into clear findings, risk statements, and actionable recommendations. - Self-directed and detail-oriented, with the ability to complete assigned tasks, adapt to changing work efforts, and manage shifting priorities. - Availability for occasional travel (5%). - Active Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications - PhD in a technical field such as math, physics, operations research, engineering, data analytics, or another relevant technical domain. - Experience developing in C++. - Experience with System Engineering tools such as Cameo, Ansys. - Frontend application development using tools such as D3.js, Angular, React, JavaScript. - Experience using Modeling and Simulation tools to run what-if scenarios and develop Courses of Action based on simulation output. - Experience with Predictive Maintenance for DoW clients. - Active Top Secret Clearance.
