Role Description We’re seeking a Government Business Development Manager to lead and grow our public‑sector business. This role focuses on developing opportunities with federal, state, and local agencies, managing government bids, and overseeing our GSA Schedule contract. You’ll drive strategic growth, ensure compliance, and support sales teams in navigating government procurement processes. Key Responsibilities - Develop new business across federal, state, and local government entities. - Manage and maintain the company’s GSA Schedule and other government contract vehicles. - Identify and pursue government bids, RFQs, and RFPs; lead proposal development. - Build strong relationships with contracting officers, procurement staff, and agency leaders. - Partner with suppliers and internal sales teams to support government sales initiatives. - Ensure compliance with FAR, state procurement rules, and contract reporting requirements. - Track pipeline activity, contract performance, and revenue growth. Qualifications - Experience in government sales, contracting, or public‑sector business development. - Knowledge of GSA Schedules, FAR/DFARS, and government procurement platforms (e.g., SAM.gov). - Background in electrical distribution, industrial supply, or related industry preferred. - Strong communication, proposal writing, and organizational skills. Location This role may be based remotely or in a regional office, with travel required to meet partners and attend industry events.
