International Business Development Manager, Europe – Informatics portfolio

Abbott

• Drive business growth and revenue for the informatics portfolio across assigned European markets • Identify and qualify new business opportunities, including enterprise level customers, multi country agreements, and strategic accounts • Develop and manage a robust pipeline aligned with regional and corporate growth targets • Support country sales teams in complex deals, including value proposition development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations • Lead or contribute to RFP/RFQ responses and high value customer presentations • Define and execute a European business development strategy for informatics solutions in alignment with global objectives • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers, including C level executives, IT leaders, laboratory managers, clinical leaders, and procurement stakeholders • Collaborate with Product Management and R&D to relay insights and requirements • Collaborate with Implementation, Project Management, and Customer Support teams to ensure smooth transition from sale to delivery and long term customer satisfaction • Accurately track opportunities, forecasts, and activities in CRM systems • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and regional regulations

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, IT or related
  • Fluency in English, French and/or German (ideally both)
  • 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within point of care, informatics, healthcare IT, software, or diagnostics
  • Proven track record of closing complex, high‑value deals in a multi‑stakeholder environment
  • Strong understanding of informatics solutions (e.g., LIS, middleware, analytics, interoperability, digital health platforms)
  • Experience working across multiple European markets and cultures
  • Strategic thinking and strong commercial acumen
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into business value
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-driven with strong results orientation
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region in scope.
