Environmental Scientist – Soils

• Provide Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Technical Support Services for the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program Golden Field Office (GFO) • Act as an expert in soils, leading the preparation of technical sections within environmental documents • Provide technical reviews and ensure quality assurance in soil assessments • Contribute to the development and execution of projects within the NEPA team • Collaborate with internal staff and external partners ensuring accuracy and compliance of soils-related documentation • Participate in periodic reviews, provide detailed technical analysis, and maintain meticulous documentation practices

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 10 years of experience in environmental analysis and documentation
  • Specialized knowledge in soils assessment and analysis
  • Understanding of soil regulations and standards
  • Proficiency in preparing technical sections related to soils
  • Ability to conduct technical reviews for soils assessments
  • Quality assurance skills for soils documentation
  • Collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
