Job Description: Adjunct faculty serve a vital role within the Law School and are valued members of the community. Under the guidance of the Assistant Dean for Academic and Faculty Affairs, adjunct faculty design and teach courses, facilitate course activities, provide students with timely feedback, and grade assignments and exams. Adjunct faculty are provided with professional learning opportunities and are invited to attend on-campus events. • Manage a docket of active personal injury cases • Monitor case progression and proactively move cases forward • Maintain accurate case notes and documentation • Track medical treatment, records requests, and case status updates • Coordinate with clients, providers, insurance companies, and opposing counsel • Execute firm SOPs for new case intake and ongoing case handling • Assist in drafting and responding to discovery (RFPs, interrogatories, etc.) • Organize and review medical records and litigation documents • Support deposition and trial preparation • Draft routine legal correspondence and pleadings • Monitor litigation deadlines, court requirements, and filings

• Review and analyze legal documents, case filings, and supporting materials to inform underwriting and portfolio monitoring • Conduct legal, factual, and background research, including identifying analogous cases and relevant developments • Support due diligence efforts by evaluating counterparties, legal claims, and associated risks • Organize, index, and maintain case files, investment documentation, and internal records • Track key case developments, deadlines, and portfolio performance across active matters • Draft clear and concise summaries, memoranda, and internal reports on legal and investment findings • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, underwriting, operations, and technology teams • Contribute to process improvements, workflow management, and data organization across the portfolio • Provide general support on special projects related to legal analysis, compliance, and investment operations

• Partner closely with two CSAA attorneys, assisting in the defense of insureds involved in litigation. • Handle personal injury defense matters with approximately 80% of caseload being auto in nature. • Legal file review and initial drafting of legal documents, such as discovery responses, trial documents, jury instructions, motions and other pleadings. • Responsible for calculating statutory deadlines and completing assignments in compliance with same. • Conduct legal research via electronic resources and in law libraries on a variety of legal issues involving civil procedure and personal injury. • Conduct insured client interviews for discovery purposes. • Assist attorney with preparation of evidence and works with retained experts for trial, arbitration, and mediation readiness. • Summarize plaintiff’s written discovery responses and follow-up on subpoenas. • Responsible for compliance with mandatory continuing legal education rules.
