• Review and analyze legal documents, case filings, and supporting materials to inform underwriting and portfolio monitoring • Conduct legal, factual, and background research, including identifying analogous cases and relevant developments • Support due diligence efforts by evaluating counterparties, legal claims, and associated risks • Organize, index, and maintain case files, investment documentation, and internal records • Track key case developments, deadlines, and portfolio performance across active matters • Draft clear and concise summaries, memoranda, and internal reports on legal and investment findings • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, underwriting, operations, and technology teams • Contribute to process improvements, workflow management, and data organization across the portfolio • Provide general support on special projects related to legal analysis, compliance, and investment operations
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, History, Economics, Law, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5+ years of relevant experience, such as: Paralegal experience at an AmLaw 200 or comparable firmLegal research, compliance, investigations, or litigation support roles
- Proficiency with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex legal and financial information
- Experience reviewing legal documents and managing case-related workflows
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and document management skills
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, both written and verbally
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
