Controls Engineer
Clean Energy
• Using control descriptions, I/O lists, electrical schematics, and drawings, creating PLC/HMI code for control of various electro-mechanical systems • Assist Field Commissioning and Service Technicians with start-up and troubleshooting of applied programming • Work with engineering team to develop electrical, instrumentation and controls products and systems to satisfy unique customer specifications, contracts, and new business development • Create/review/modify electrical schematics, drawings, and I/O lists for various electro-mechanical systems to ensure compliance with engineering standards and customer specifications • Submit timely status reports to management on progress of assigned projects • Provide Purchasing department with technical guidance on electrical components, equipment, software, and services
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Automation Engineering or related field
- 6-9 years of related experience and/or training
- 4+ years of PLC and HMI design and programming for industrial equipment for machine control
- Must have experience using SCADA
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD software
- Certified Siemens, Horner and/or Allen Bradley PLC programmer preferred
