Composite Repair Technician
EDF Renewables North America
• Inspect and photograph internal and external blade damage using blade card • Perform composite repairs on internal and external blade surfaces • Provide wind turbine generator LOTO (Lock Out & Tag Out) support as required • Perform “status” checks including clearing “error” codes on turbines • Utilize blade access platforms, boom trucks, and rope access at heights of 300ft or more • Communicate site status to the back-office Management & Local Customer Site Personnel as well
Job Requirements
- 2 year related experience or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Completed Abaris Wind Blade Repair R-5 /Abaris Advanced tooling Repair
- Completed EDFps Composite Key Fundamentals Training
- Has acquired 8 or more hours of on the job training by a Senior or Advanced Composite Repair Technician
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to demonstrate some basic computer knowledge
- Able to follow both verbal and written instructions
- Must have a current driver’s license with a good DMV printout
