Role Description In this role, the VDC Technology Field Manager will be a detail-oriented and highly motivated Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) manager who primarily supports our most complex projects by delivering innovative technology insights to the field and guidance to field teams on the capture of field data, creation of rich BIM assets, and analysis to deliver value to the field from Hexagon Multivista’s services and technology. A collaborative mindset and technical expertise will be foundational to the role to support cross-company services to both internal and external stakeholders. This position collaborates closely with other teams to assess, review, and deploy our services to the construction field on our cloud platforms, ensuring all hardware and software requests meet standards for functionality, compatibility, and security. This is a remote position with 100% travel to work on-site on high-profile projects. Ideal for candidates in Reno, NV or living on the west coast. What You Get to Do - Customer Communication and Collaboration: - Oversee the day-to-day site activities to ensure that Hexagon Multivista’s activities in data capture, BIM creation, and analytics are well coordinated with the client and ongoing field activities. - Facilitate and lead customer engagement, communications, and interactions to understand project requirements and provide ongoing support. - Drive success through collaboration with clients and internal teams to ensure KPIs are met and alignment on project goals and deliverables. - Data Capture, BIM Management and Analytics: - Act as the conduit between the customer and Multivista’s deployed field capture teams to ensure data capture in alignment with downstream uses in BIM creation and construction analytics are met. - Oversee and perform BIM classification steps and schedule ingestion during onboarding and for every BIM/schedule update. - Ensure that all BIM data is properly classified and meets project-specific requirements. - Facilitate the translation of BIM needs on the project back to Hexagon Multivista’s create teams who author content and customer success team who performs progress reporting and deviation analysis. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Engineering or related degree. - Located on the West Coast of the United States or willing to relocate with up to 100% travel. - 10+ years supporting and implementing Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) processes and software across projects. - Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges. - Strong understanding of BIM workflows and classification processes in the field of building construction. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. - Mastery of BIM and VDC tools, software and platforms, primarily in Revit and Navisworks, as well as reality capture practices such as 360 photos and LIDAR scanning.
