Role Description As our System Manager, SSRM Supplies Contracts, you will be responsible for contract management, including: - Reviewing, analyzing, drafting, and managing contracts in accordance with company policy and stakeholder specifications. - Identifying and utilizing comparative data, including market information and industry standards, to make cost/benefit determinations in evaluating proposed contract terms relative to business needs. - Leading RFI/RFPs, negotiations, and contracting for a particular spend category. - Partnering with the Legal Team to address proposed contract terms that deviate from our standards, develop new policies or contract templates, and improve contracting processes. - Strategically leading the comprehensive management of supplies contracts, driving optimal value and compliance across designated spend categories. - Demonstrating exceptional expertise in contract negotiation, analytical decision-making, and collaboration with legal and stakeholder teams. Additional responsibilities include: - Collaborating with the category team or other key stakeholders to develop contracting strategies. - Developing and leading the category RFI/RFP processes, preparing complex solicitations, and reviewing specialized and/or non-routine proposals, bids, and contract modifications. - Leading negotiation efforts. - Managing internal communications across the category team and working collaboratively with key stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Finance, Operations). - Understanding the business case and financial/analytical issues, working closely with the Data Analytics team for data needs and data collection efforts. - Analyzing significant and/or unique contract requirements and special provisions while working with legal to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies. - Developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators to ensure vendor compliance with contracting terms and conditions. - Participating in business review processes, evaluating vendor compliance with contracts, and enforcing vendor rebates. - Interacting with internal and external stakeholders and vendor personnel to address contractual concerns and ensure risk management, quality, and legal terms are maintained throughout a contract’s life-cycle. - Partnering with the Contract Management team to manage the pipeline of contract expirations.
