Logistics, Import Officer

• Prepare and process essential import documents, including purchase orders, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs clearance forms. • Communicate with international suppliers to obtain necessary documentation like certificates of origin and shipping instructions. • Collaborate with customs brokers or agents to facilitate smooth customs clearance. • Arrange transportation of goods from ports to designated locations in collaboration with freight forwarders. • Update inventory records upon shipment arrivals. • Stay updated on import regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements. • Address issues like customs delays, damaged goods, or documentation discrepancies. • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, finance, and supply chain teams to provide updates on shipment status. • Enter import-related data accurately into company systems and generate reports on import volumes, costs, and compliance metrics for management review.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2-3 years in import/export, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with import/export documentation, customs regulations, tariffs, and international shipping procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with logistics software or ERP systems (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with international suppliers and internal teams.
