Role Description Help us build the future of senior mental health. Total Life is a national telehealth platform built for older adults. Today, we deliver behavioral health care to Medicare beneficiaries across 49 states through a network of 200+ credentialed providers. We're now building out a dedicated psychiatric care team for seniors, starting in Florida — and we're hiring PMHNPs and psychiatrists to help us deliver it. This is a ground-floor role. You won't be slotting into an existing clinic; you'll help shape one — the protocols, the patient journey, and the standard of care for online senior psychiatric medicine. What you'll do: - Conduct telehealth psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits for older adults - Diagnose and manage psychiatric conditions common in seniors, with medication management within your scope of practice - Provide thoughtful, relationship-centered care — our model is built around therapeutic alliance and outcomes, not rushed visits - Complete clinical documentation in our platform (intake templates and code scaffolding provided) - Collaborate with our broader care team — lifestyle/longevity NPs, nutrition, therapy, and primary care coordination — to support the whole person - Surface meaningful escalations to patients' primary care providers (e.g., medication or adherence concerns) so care stays connected - Help shape the clinical model itself: protocols, intake, outcome measures, and the patient experience Qualifications - A board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), OR a psychiatrist (MD/DO) in good standing - Active, unencumbered Florida license (or willingness to license in Florida; multi-state licensure a plus) - Active DEA registration (Florida DEA required to prescribe for Florida patients) - For PMHNPs: a collaborating physician in place, or willingness to establish one — Florida requires PMHNPs to practice under a collaborative arrangement - Experienced with, and energized by, caring for older adults - Comfortable practicing via two-way live video telehealth - Mission-driven, collaborative, and ready to be a key voice on our clinical team Requirements - 1099, part-time contractor — fits alongside an existing practice - Soft commitment starting around 10 hours/week, with room to grow as the patient panel builds - We manage credentialing, scheduling, and billing — including insurance collection risk, which is ours, not yours - Patients are primarily Medicare, commercial, and dual-eligible (Medicare-Medicaid); 21+ population Benefits - Your fingerprints will be on the entire psychiatric care model — protocols, standards, patient experience - You'll have time to actually care — relationships and outcomes, not 12-minute visits - You'll work with a team that's already delivered behavioral health outcomes for older adults at national scale - 100% remote, with the flexibility of a telehealth-native company How to apply Apply through Workable with your CV and a short note on your experience caring for older adults. Total Life is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to building a clinical team that reflects the patients we serve.
