Role Description Under the Chief Enterprise Operations Officer, this position is the key leader for the Consumer Lending Processing Department which includes: - Processing, funding, servicing, and operational processes for ancillary Insurance products related to direct consumer loan products (Auto, HELOC, and Visa loans). - Assisting the Chief Enterprise Operations Officer in carrying out assigned responsibilities consistent with cost-effective practices, regulations, and Credit Union policies. - Providing leadership direction, administration, and strategy development for staff related to consumer lending operations. - Setting staff goals to meet organization’s objectives and maintaining high levels of employee productivity and member services. - Identifying and implementing efficiency improvements and supporting the Credit Union’s culture. - Serving as a management escalation resource for Consumer Lending Operations related issues. - Building, planning, directing, overseeing, and approving compliance, processing, funding, and administration of consumer lending operations. - Supporting increased consumer and HELOC loan volume, along with insurance product penetration. - Establishing guidelines, procedures, and standards for product and service development to provide long-term portfolio growth. Qualifications - 5-7 years of Consumer Lending operations experience, including underwriting, processing, and funding. - 2-3 years of collateral management experience. - A minimum of five years of management experience in a financial institution. - Advanced credit experience. - Ability to analyze and evaluate loan requests and make credit decisions. - Knowledge of budget processes. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Business Acumen, Process Management, Negotiating, Conflict Management, Developing Direct Reports, Motivating Others, Sizing Up People. Qualifications - 1–4 years of experience in an execution-oriented environment (e.g., business operations, consulting, investment banking, strategy & ops, program support, GTM ops, analytics). - Advanced Excel skills (analysis, modeling, comfort working with imperfect data). - Strong PowerPoint skills (can build clean, executive-ready decks quickly with attention to detail). - Excellent written communication: concise, structured, action-oriented. - Strong ownership and reliability; you pride yourself on consistent execution and follow-through. - Highly organized and able to manage multiple threads without dropping details.
