• Architect and implement highly scalable, fault-tolerant software solutions for transmitting millions of messages monthly in diverse formats and protocols. • Design and evolve system architectures to accommodate complex, clearinghouse-specific EDI/API data mappings. • Implement advanced error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms within asynchronous workflows to ensure data integrity and reliability. • Collaborate directly with external clearinghouse partners to debug and troubleshoot non-standard integration systems. • Ensure compliance with all relevant EDI protocols and federal healthcare standards, including designing and auditing systems for HIPAA security and privacy regulations. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and frameworks, and document all features, flows, and processes within the application. • Adapt and transition between programming languages and technologies as required.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience in developing robust software solutions, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Strong fundamental skills in building and integrating APIs.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in scaling API systems in a cost-effective manner
  • Proficiency in PHP or Python (or a comparable programming language), with a willingness to learn new languages as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new programming languages and manage transitions effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with 837, 277, 999, and 835 EDI transactions
  • Knowledge of, or experience with, healthcare data interchange standards like HL7 and FHIR.

Role Description The primary responsibility of this role is to be a Value Architect in medium sized to large opportunities that may involve solutioning and estimation of Systems Integration, Application Development, Data Migration, Governance, Functional Leadership and more.
