Outbound Referral Coordinator

• Process and coordinate outgoing referrals to specialists, imaging centers, physical therapy providers, and ancillary healthcare services • Keep patients informed of referral status, scheduling requirements, and necessary documentation • Verify insurance eligibility and confirm referral authorization requirements prior to submission • Build and maintain an up-to-date directory of providers and facilities accepting Medicaid and other insurance plans • Research in-network providers to guide patients toward appropriate referral placements and uninterrupted care • Document all referral activity accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR) system • Partner with physicians, medical assistants, and front office staff to facilitate timely care coordination • Follow up with external providers and facilities to confirm appointment scheduling and obtain outstanding reports • Monitor referral work queues to ensure timely completion and identify bottlenecks before they impact patient care • Serve as a resource for patients navigating referral logistics, insurance requirements, and next steps in their treatment • Uphold HIPAA standards and maintain strict confidentiality in all patient interactions • Proactively identify and resolve referral delays or obstacles to keep care on track
Job Requirements
- Prior experience in an orthopedic or specialty clinic setting strongly preferred
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR platforms and working knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy and a high standard of professionalism
- Bilingual

• The Field Clinical Specialist is responsible for the training, support and adoption of OrganOx’s products. • Teach and train users in the correct manner to ensure our products are used safely and effectively. • Maintain the relationship with the relevant clinical transplant teams. • Home based but will require frequent travel to allocated transplantation centers (40%-60%). • Partake in the 24/7 on-call rota (including weekends and holidays) for on-site or remote support. • Promote the benefits of OrganOx’s products with customers. • Facilitate the sharing of customer experiences to support adoption of OrganOx products. • Arrange user groups to facilitate shared learning. • Track account performance, clinical progression, and supports forecasting of system usage and consumables set allocation. • Ensure customer data are maintained in the relevant database and all regulatory customer consent is collected and documented. • Support the Commercial management team in prospecting and generating new customer leads.
**Position Summary ** The Clinical Specialist will be primarily responsible for training and supporting users of our products. This includes teaching and training users in the correct manner to ensure our products are used safely and effectively - both for the preservation of organs prior to transplant, and for various clinical and non-clinical research studies. The role of Clinical Specialist will involve global travel, primarily within North America, visiting leading sites of transplantation surgery. This means the Clinical Specialist will be required to work after business hours, including nights, weekends and some very long days, which is the norm due to the unpredictable nature of organ donation and transplantation.
