Nurse Practitioner, Obesity Medicine
FORM │ Virtual obesity medicine clinic
• We are hiring experienced Nurse Practitioners who are passionate about and who have recent experience in obesity medicine to provide longitudinal telehealth care for patients with obesity. • Collaborate with physicians and registered dietitians to deliver exceptional team-based care.
Job Requirements
- Have a Nurse Practitioner degree, with experience practicing Obesity Medicine, including effective evidence-based lifestyle counseling and pharmacotherapy
- Are licensed to practice and prescribe legally in CA, CO or WA
- RN Compact license or multistate license is a bonus
- Have 2+ years of experience in outpatient or obesity medicine, endocrinology, or bariatrics, and/or 2 + years of obesity medicine experience in a primary care/internal medicine setting
- Have excellent interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions
- Are committed to the highest quality of medical care and an evidence-based approach to obesity management
- Have prior experience conducting telemedicine visits and who have a great 'web-side' manner
- Bilingual candidates with medical fluency in Spanish are highly preferred.

• Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting, focusing on evidence-based obesity treatment and chronic weight management. The physician will collaborate with APP colleagues to co-manage a shared panel and not have their own primary patient panel. • Review charts and conduct return visits for APP patients every third visit to ensure quality and continuity of care. • Provide treatment planning and medical management support for complex cases or escalated concerns. • Prescribe non-controlled obesity medications for patients under both direct care and in coordination with APPs. • Conduct weekly 30 minute collaborative meetings and 30 min asynchronous communication time with each assigned APP to review cases, address clinical challenges, and provide ongoing mentorship. • Ensure clinical documentation, protocols, and treatment pathways are followed consistently within the team. • Assist in the professional development of APPs by fostering clinical growth, offering feedback, and supporting continuing education. • Participate in team-based care initiatives and contribute to a culture of collaboration and high-quality care. • Attend relevant departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement efforts within the obesity medicine program.
