Role Description SAIC is seeking a training analyst with some instructional design experience to join our team in analyzing and assessing current T-6 training. The role involves designing, developing, and executing updated training for pilots in the U.S. Air Force. This position is remote with some travel. An ideal candidate will be comfortable working with SMEs and other POCs to assist in pulling all the pieces of training analysis together to make the best learning experience for students. Requirements - Conduct Training Needs Assessment (TNA), Training Situation Analysis (TSA), and Training Systems Requirements Analysis (TSRA) in line with DOD guidance. - Analyze current training across the pipeline and deconstruct training tasks, media, and instructional strategies. - Collect and validate job and training tasks to ensure alignment between training and job performance requirements. - Develop data collection strategies, protocol, and tools. - Collect data from current and former students, instructors, and receiving units using surveys, focus groups, and interviews. - Collaborate with internal and external SMEs. - Conduct statistical data analysis. - Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses. - Develop training analysis report including descriptive data analysis and courses of action. Role Description As Senior Associate, Analytics, you will work with a team of analysts, data scientists, and engineers to deliver on a federal contract which ensures millions of Americans have the information they need to get access to affordable healthcare. This role will play an instrumental role supporting a team to create robust data models, troubleshoot issues, improve documentation, ensure data quality, and manage data automation. Your track record should reflect domain knowledge in data analysis, data modeling and ingestion, including experience adapting to changing technologies, business logic, and client priorities. This program aims to increase access to quality healthcare by supporting public outreach campaigns for Healthcare.gov. The Senior Associate, Analytics role sits within our Analytics and Data Science team, responsible for transforming raw data into clean, well-modeled datasets and interpreting our data into actionable business insights. In this position you will: - Create SQL-based data models in dbt, working with data engineers, data scientists, and data analysts to refactor legacy code and build new data transformations. - Collaborate with analytics, product, and domain stakeholders to translate business needs into well-modeled datasets. - Work closely with Data Engineers to transition analytical logic into optimized warehouse queries. - Implement data quality checks (dbt tests, sources, freshness) and contribute to monitoring data reliability. - Maintain clear documentation for datasets, lineage, and transformation logic. - Query the data warehouse using SQL to answer urgent business questions, identify trends, and provide data-backed recommendations. - Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports (using Report-as-Code, Positron, and Tableau) to track key business metrics and performance indicators. - Gain a deep understanding of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and its regulatory frameworks. - Investigate data discrepancies to identify patterns and find solutions. - Collaborate with engineers, data analysts, data scientists, program managers, and external stakeholders to troubleshoot problems. - Take ownership of task areas and strive to independently resolve challenges. - Complete such other reasonable tasks as may be assigned by management. Qualifications - 2+ years of applied experience working with structured/unstructured data. - An undergraduate degree or higher in a quantitative field or equivalent technical training. - Strong understanding of how to manipulate data using dbt, SQL, and Python. - Experience optimizing data models for query efficiency. - Ability to deeply research both the business logic of ingested data and the business logic needed to build derivative data products. - Interest in investigating problems, solving puzzles, and finding patterns in complex data. - Comfort working independently to drive portions of larger projects. - Experience working in an Agile work environment, reviewing others’ work, and a strong grasp of version control (i.e., git). - Passion in applying your skills to our social mission to solve problems and collaborate within a cross-functional team environment. - The ability to successfully attain and maintain a Federal Public Trust security clearance.
