• Analyze application system needs of various business areas within the organization • Design application systems which meet business needs that are efficient, dependable, maintainable and consistent • Work directly with members of the business and technical teams to gather the business and technical requirements • Test and debug production programs and programs under development, particularly more complex modules • Implement program logic, documentation, and procedural changes on schedule and according to an established implementation plan • Mentor other professional staff and provide guidance to improve productivity through the effective and efficient use of information technology tools and skills

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or equivalent experience in education and/or related professional work experience
  • 5 to 7 years recent work experience with demonstrated achievement and progressive responsibilities developing, testing, debugging and documenting complex program logic with multiple technologies and platforms with at least three years recent experience analyzing and designing application systems
  • Proven ability to problem solve effectively in unfamiliar situations
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate peer leadership and provide mentorship for programmers/analysts
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users, both verbally and in writing.
