Role Description Do terms like 'Kirchensteuerabzugsverfahren', 'Common Reporting Standard', and 'document self service' pique your interest? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our team. We are seeking a motivated (Associate) Product Manager to drive the development and enhancement of tax-related client experiences and internal tooling. In this role, you will shape intuitive and compliant tax-related user experiences for both German and international clients, ensuring clarity across jurisdictions. At the same time, you will enable multiple tax calculation engines by building the foundation of client tax data, intuitive user interfaces, and efficient internal workflows. You will collaborate with a highly motivated team of software engineers, product managers, and domain experts to build scalable, compliant, and user-friendly tax solutions. Key Responsibilities - End-to-End Product Ownership: Support and take ownership of product development from discovery to launch, focusing on client tax master data, client-facing tax features, and internal enablement solutions. - Product Strategy & Roadmap Development: Contribute to defining and executing a product strategy with a strong focus on user experience, data quality, and process efficiency, aligning with Scalable’s long-term goals. - Client Experience: Design and improve intuitive, self-service tax experiences for clients, including tax overviews, submissions, and interactions with tax-related data. - Client Tax Data & Processes: Own and evolve how client tax-relevant data is collected, maintained, and structured as a foundation for downstream systems and reporting. - Internal Enablement: Build and improve tools and workflows that empower internal teams (e.g., client success) to efficiently manage tax-related requests and operations. Qualifications - Interest in taxation topics, particularly related to client data, reporting, and regulatory processes in German and international contexts. - Initial experience in product management or a related role (e.g., business analysis, operations, consulting, or project management), ideally within fintech, banking, or similarly complex environments. - A natural curiosity that drives you to explore complex topics with multiple interdependencies and stakeholders. - A strong affinity for user experience (UX) and building intuitive, customer-facing products. - Strong analytical thinking, leveraging both quantitative and qualitative data to drive decisions. - Utmost attention to detail and a culture of excellence. - Excellent communication skills that are clear, concise, and targeted towards your audience - software engineer, stakeholder or executive. - Hands-on mentality: from ideation and research to prototype and user story, you can handle it. - Bonus Points: Experience with common agile working tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma and similar applications. - Excellent English communication skills (German is advantageous). Benefits - Be part of one of the fastest-growing and most visible Fintech startups in Europe, creating innovative services that have a substantial impact on the lives of our customers. - Work with an international, diverse, inclusive, and ever-growing team that loves creating the best products for our clients. - Be productive with the latest hardware and tools. - Learn and grow by joining our in-house knowledge sharing or career development sessions and spending your individual Education Budget. - Learn and experience German culture first hand by joining our free German language classes. - International relocation support is provided if required. - Opportunity to work from abroad. - Benefit from an attractive compensation package and from the company pension scheme. - Monthly contribution of 50% for the ‘Deutschland Jobticket’. - Say goodbye to order commissions and say hello to your complimentary subscription of Scalable Capital's PRIME+ Broker. - Enjoy flexible and discounted sports activities with Urban Sports Club.
