Senior Medical Science Liaison
Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc.
• Build and maintain relationships with national and regional KOLs, HCPs, patient advocacy groups, and centers of excellence aligned to Medical Affairs strategy • Lead scientific exchange with thought leaders, including discussions on research, clinical data, and emerging therapies • Support clinical trial sites and facilitate investigator-initiated research (IIR) proposals • Maintain deep expertise in therapeutic area, disease state, and Acadia’s product portfolio • Collaborate cross-functionally with Regional Business Leaders and Account Business Managers in alignment with compliance requirements • Deliver strategic field insights to inform medical and development initiatives • Identify disease state insights and product differentiation opportunities based on clinical and scientific knowledge • Represent Acadia at medical meetings, congresses, and educational programs • Support commercial initiatives through participation in speaker training and sales education • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Advanced degree required (MD, PharmD, or PhD) in a scientific or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
- Experience in rare diseases, neurology, epilepsy, or psychiatry required
- Prior Medical Science Liaison experience preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and clinical frameworks within the pharmaceutical industry
- Ability to travel up to 75% with residence within assigned territory

• Facilitate patient enrollment into our RTM (Remote Therapeutic Monitoring) or Chronic Care Management (CCM) programs using Flagler’s portal. • Make daily calls and text messages to patients to document patient health status and keep them engaged. • Assist in the collection and documentation of patient health information, including histories, health status and new symptoms. • Support patients by sending health pointers (stretches, meditation videos, light exercises). • Maintain strict confidentiality in handling patient information, adhering to HIPAA regulations and company policies. • Participate in ongoing company training and check-ins.
• Own aerial data collection missions end to end in support of Zipline’s Detect and Avoid system development • Travel across the U.S. to collect real-world flight data from helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, and specialty aviation platforms • Operate Zipline’s data collection rigs in dynamic flight environments while maintaining strong safety awareness • Independently manage mission prep, equipment setup, troubleshooting, data capture, and post-flight wrap-up • Build effective working relationships with pilots, flight crews, vendors, and cross-functional teams to execute safe and efficient flight operations • Debug hardware, software, sensor, and data collection rig issues in the field to keep missions moving • Own field logistics, including packing, transport, setup, teardown, aircraft integration support, and gear accountability • Ensure collected data is complete, reliable, and useful for training and validating autonomy systems • Identify ways to improve tools, rigs, workflows, and future flight campaigns
• Lead multiple daily telehealth-based group exercise sessions for cardiac and pulmonary patients • Monitor vital signs and RPE/RPD for signs of distress or exercise intolerance • Provide individual and group patient education on disease management • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care • Advocate for patients experiencing major social stressors • Serve as a strong point of contact for patients and families
