Job Description

Senior Technical Assistance Associate

Health and Reentry Project (HARP)

• Manage multi-state technical assistance projects that improve access to health care for people leaving incarceration. • Provide expert guidance to state health and correctional agencies implementing Medicaid 1115 reentry demonstration waivers. • Manage staff activities to provide and ensure high-quality TA delivery. • Translate policy into actionable strategies and ensure technical assistance initiatives are timely, responsive, impactful and scalable. • Report directly to the Director of Technical Assistance.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree in public health, social work, law, public policy, or criminal justice preferred.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Medicaid, behavioral health, criminal justice, or reentry health programs.
  • 3+ years experience managing projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment that is deadline driven while maintaining creativity.
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical assistance across multiple states or agencies, including direct client engagement, development of resources, and facilitation of peer learning.
  • Experience implementing new policies or programs from within corrections systems and/or state Medicaid.
  • Ability to develop agendas and lead meetings with various stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid and/or correctional health systems.
  • Ability to synthesize learnings from the field for the development of resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative, strategic, and solutions-oriented approach.

Benefits

  • $105,000-$130,000 commensurate with experience and may be adjusted based on the candidate's location.
