• providing expert validation to ensure models understand nuanced financial concepts, tax standards, and complex transaction logic • bringing a rigorous quality assurance framework to the data pipeline, applying an audit mindset to identify edge cases and anomalies within complex tax scenarios • advising on structuring tax data taxonomies to ensure AI tools remain compliant, accurate, and value-adding for professionals • developing AI solutions within the Xero product ecosystem • designing annotation guidelines and advising engineering teams on financial data taxonomies • identifying edge cases or anomalies in training sets to prevent bias or hallucinations in models

Job Requirements

  • in-practice experience in tax accounting, with a solid grasp of filing and tax return preparation
  • professional accreditation such as CPA or equivalent is highly valued
  • deep understanding of debit and credit concepts as they apply to day-to-day business finance
  • proficiency in English is essential for effective communication and evaluating complex language model responses
  • critical thinking skills and audit mindset to problem-solve and ensure data integrity
  • ability to work autonomously and manage deliverables efficiently within a flexible environment
